In Rennes

For long stays, it is preferable to take a Korrigo subscription, which is available in all STAR offices (list below). The card itself is free and the monthly rates are approximately as follows (sliding scale rates in relation to the subscription period):
• Under 20: €27.50 the first month
• 20 to 26: €31 the first month
• Over 26: €47.40 the first month
It is also possible to purchase a one-hour ticket for €1.50 which is valid in the bus and metro. Booklets of 10 tickets are also available, these cost €13.70.

Rennes Métropole also provides a bicycle service known as ‘Vélo STAR’. This is a public bike share system, with 83 stations and 900 bicycles. It is possible to subscribe for a day, a month or a year.

In Brittany

> It is also possible to move around by train. The French railway company, SNCF, provides services from Rennes to the rest of Brittany, and also to the rest of France. For trips within Brittany, you can load your train ticket directly onto your Korrigo card. The rates of TER trains (regional express trains) within Brittany are as follows for persons under 26:
• €8 for a trip under 150 km (and over 70 km),
• €15 for a trip over 150 km.
